My first store opening in Alshaya

Every Beginning has its challenges, and coordinating with the contractor, Brand team, and software team to prepare and set up the hardware and Retail software is a crucial point.

As scheduled, a few days after the handover from the contractor, we began our process and preparation for the store; first, my colleague took over the network termination cables and switch configuration side while I was handling Server and POS setup and configuration.

After installing and settings up the server in the office, it was ready to be taken and installed in the store for the second part of the installation; in this store in particular, we have 6 Points of Sale 3 every division, Assembling the POS alone take over a day to complete after that every POS has to be individually Imaged & configured and setup.

On 28 November 2019, the store officially opened; this marked my first Fashion store. In the end, you learn something new every day, no doubt.
